That tuna price is not representative on the actual price of tuna. The first tuna fish of the season is a status symbol in Japan and is always bid up as it is prestigious to acquire it. This is also true for fruit in Japan.

There is a man who passed away named Doc Thompson. You likely wont agree with his political point of view however that's not why I mention him. Doc was the absolute master of the in broadcast advert Segway. He would have you leaning into the radio waiting to see what he was talking about like he was describing an important news announcement or vital piece of information only for it to lead to a sponsorship advert. This kind of clean transition is very rare to hear now days and if you wanted to master it your self his old shows are a good way to do that.

I had a truffle once in Italy. It cost like 45 Euros, which was about $55-60 at that time, and it wasn't very good, sort of tasted like somewhere between walnuts and what i expect tree bark to taste like lol I should have just gotten the tiramisu

You can actually create truffle farms by planting trees next to known truffle producing trees and after a few years dig it up and re plant it as wanted and it will have truffle mycelium colonized in the root system. This practice is common in Europe.

So weird that people won't give up certain foods even if they're being eaten into extinction. Like, I get island nations relying mainly on a seafood diet, but the rest of us could just eat less fish to prevent overfishing. And I get prairie and outback regions relying on ranching for food, but the rest of us could just eat less beef to prevent deforestation and methane emissions. Why is that such an impossible suggestion?

Growing truffles isn't actually difficult, as long as you use the right tree species. However you have to grow the trees from seed and innoculate them right as they sprout, and then wait at least 10 years for the trees to get big enough to support the fungi so that they can go to fruit. Truffles aren't even that expensive in Europe, but they are in the US because all but one species of truffle (T. lyonii) associates exclusively with European trees which are not widely grown in the US and which may not do well in US climates outside of California. Even then, assuming you can get the trees to grow the truffles themselves may not fruit without their native mediteranean climate. On the other hand some of the American trees which associate with T. lyonii can be crossbred with European species and might allow for a very wide association with many species of truffles. Particularly hazelnuts and the European white oak Q. Robur which can cross with both the American eastern white oak and the burr oak.

Find a rotting oak tree grind up the wood to a sand like silt, mix with perilite, lysol and disinfect completely the room to cultivate, besides the same for the person)s) introducing spores into large containers center, cover before exiting room, keep damp and perfect temperature and in time the truffles, hukelberrys need to be done in a climate control green house and when clones are made the rooting compound should include it’s natural habitat soil to reinforce process this will decrease fruiting time plant hormone ma can be used to swiftlet that by a bit keeping in mind that dormancy period (climate controlled), The tuna large plastic ocean water aqua ducts with inlets (door for food)from other species growing species they can feed off like salmon or the like, at the appropriate size and age that could be determined by a set of fish finder set at different points I swear no one thinks outside the box or brain storms with others they just want the silver plater

I stopped eating all tuna a few years ago when we learned that truly giant bluefin are now rarely caught and this critically over-fished species' avg size is down by almost 25% in the last 20 years. it may be that we will eventually cause bluefin to be functionally extinct within our children's lifespan.

"Climate change" not responsible for the state of Southern Europe's forests. But mankind is. C02 is not a pollutant. It's a necessary gas for life on this planet. In the ancient past furthermore, C02 existed at levels hundreds of times higher than it exists today - in the Earth's atmosphere - and the Earth's climate was just fine. Man made climate change is a FRAUD. Incidentally...the shrinking ice cap in the Antarctic? It's shrinking because there's a SUPER VOLCANO underneath it. There goes 90% of the entire premise for "climate change" theory.

Worth mentioning is that "huckleberry" and "blueberry" are common names, not taxonomic names. And there are more than one species considered to be "huckleberries". Same for "blueberries". All species considered to be huckleberries and blueberries are in the same genus (Vaccinium), so they are very closely related, hence being able to hybridize. It's kind of like if we referred to some oaks or some maples (Quercus sp., Acer sp, respectively) by entirely different common names. Taxonomic names are regulated, but I'm not sure if any common names are...maybe in this case that'd be the FCC for marketing purposes???

this is just more evidence that we farm wrong. if you dont have the microbes you wont be successful, aside from using expensive chemicals which are not ok for a lot of reasons. indigenous people have success with huckleberries because they dont kill everything to farm one thing. farm a bunch of stuff together and they will create the proper microbial life for great fruits. fungus runs this planet. work with it, not against it.
