It ain’t easy to stop Mahomes. He’s too versatile. Just have to keep him short and over the middle and hope for a fumble or batted pass or something but still it’s extremely difficult.

If you stop looking through your biased goggles, you’ll notice it’s actually the bucs who tried to “gift” the game to greenbay. I think it was 28-10 when Jordan whitehead went to the locker room, and it was 31-24 when Brady started throwing picks(3), out of those 3 picks greenbay came out with 3 points. People keep denying Tampa defense the credit and calling it a greenbay “gift”. but the 5 sack, 1 interception, 2 forced fumble(1 recovered) game tells me Tampa just wanted that game more. not to mention the 3 back-to-back stops by the defense in a 1 possession game in the fourth quarter, while their offense was having a “classic Tampa bay implosion” (not closing a game out they had already won, and letting their opponent come back to win the game) its just amazing to me that a team on a 8-0 win streak can be brushed aside as “lucky” or like they didn’t earn their wins TO BE PLAYING IN THE SUPER BOWL. My scores are probably off by a point or 2, I didn’t check the game breakdown before typing this.

People seem to be forgetting the fact that the Buccaneers picked Patrick Mahomes off twice even though the turnovers were negated by penalties he still through two interceptions in the week 12 match up. And if it’s one thing my Buccaneers have been great at in the post season is picking the opposing team off.

Forgetting the KC can pound the ball if they need to. If they have a 4 man rush, KC will play smash mouth for a bit, then go deep once they start bringing people up. Exactly what they did vs. Buffalo earlier in the year.
The last time when those two teams met, Buc's D couldn't tackle the baller handler and they beat themselves by 3 pts. That "blitzing Brady" narrative is outdated. That game lost is mostly because of the Buc D's inconsistency (tackling).
Plus, Le’Veon Bell should be back for the SB... which is going to be crucial for the Chiefs in the pass protection & the passing game, cuz Le’Veon not only can catch it, but he’s a very good pass protector as a RB

@david selawsky difference is chiefs offense can score rapidly.... and as good as Brady has been... he don’t have the arm strength to push the ball downfield like mahomes.... and once the chiefs go in front they start eating up the clock.... but of course if it’s close and Brady gets the last drive, best believe he’s winning it
Question: I like watching football, but am not really proficient, the question I have is: why do they say that Mahomes has advantage when he is blitzed? And a follow-up question: if we know what the advantage is, and we know they are going to blitz Brady, as everyone tries to, why can't he replicate this advantage? That is one of the things that escapes me. If they know they are going to be blitzed, can't they design a play based on that?
I’m not the smartest football dude but Mahomes has the advantage because if a blitz happens, that means Kelce or Tyreek most likely only have one person guarding them, and it’ll most likely be a dump and catch. Brady cannot replicate that advantage because his arm talent is arguably less than Mahomes and his receivers (although very good) are not as good as Kelce/Tyreek. Also, Mahomes can run when there’s a blitz, and Brady definitely cannot.

Raiders lost because of a blown assignment on defense. As I mentioned, they are beatable with the right game plan and no mistakes. I have stated nothing but facts. @Jason Lueger No, I beg to differ. The Raiders played them hard and had a good game plan. That's why they lost the first game. In the second game against the Raiders, the Raiders lost by only 4 pts (so that's not exactly smoking them). So I stand by my comment, they are beatable. I admit, it is going to be a hard task because of the explosive offense that they have, but with the right game plan and no mistakes, they are beatable as the Raiders this year proved and almost proved the second time they played them.
2 deep safeties playing up. Strong presence in box. This will force qb to complete intermediate throws if you take away the deep ball. And if you play up in box-- it takes away run, it takes away screen throws, gimmicks, shovel passes . You force qb to complete intermediate throws which then becomes dependent on the tackles holding up. Plus if you make kc dink and dunk-- it slows game down and at a tempo that favors the Grinding Buccs. Make them slowly beat you and break you down. And while they're doing that -- you're doing the same but better than them.
Except the intermediate throws are to guys who run 4.3 40s and will just run by the safety playing short no chance at tackling 10yrds turns into 50 real quick or Mahomes drifts out of pocket and they have time and just throw it over the safeties head only hope is Mahomes is off his game

Very difficult to stop the Chiefs receiving core, but if the Bucs can get to thumping (hitting hard) the Chiefs after the catch, I can see the Bucs winning. Force the Chiefs to second guess themselves as to either secure the catch or brace for the hard hit.

Watkins is easily the most underrated and underappreciated Chief of the past 3 years. The dude is talked down on because he isn't healthy the whole season, but when he is, I'd argue he's a better pure route runner than Hill. The dude is a beast.

Too many weapons and bucs dont have the secondary to go very aggressive. They are going to have to get pressure with their DL or they lose.
